Breast cancer is occurring more frequently now than ever. It is estimated that one of every eight women may develop breast cancer. However, there is good news regarding early detection of cancer and detection of lesions and metabolic problems that may lead to cancer. Detecting the disease early can give you a 97% survival with few complications and real options in treatment. You have likely tried self-examination of your breasts as has been recommended by the American Cancer Society. But, it is difficult for anyone but an expert to find a lump until it has grown to about 1 inch in diameter.

Thermography was recently reported by the National Cancer Institute to be the method of choice for detecting the earliest changes associated with cancer. Many women consider thermography because they have been concerned about the dangers of radiation, or because their breasts are very dense and the accuracy and effectiveness of mammography would be limited. Thermography has been developing over the past 35 years in major medical universities and women¹s clinics around the world as a viable method of detection of breast cancer and precancerous changes. Thermography uses no radiation or any form of physical

contact that would induce pain. Thermography involves the use of an infrared camera that detects energy and heat patterns that result from unhealthy metabolism of the cells in a particular area. The image is projected on to a computer screen and is then sent to a doctor who has 30+ years of experience in evaluating thermographic images. Abnormal cellular features can be detected and may be useful for differentiating some forms of breast disease with high reliability. Thermology can provide the early detection of breast cancer and precancerous changes. The interpretations of the images are then referred back to the physicians at Born Clinic who are trained in recognizing and evaluating potential problems and prescribing a nutritional regimen that may correct the problems that have been found.

In essence, thermography is used to detect any precancerous metabolic changes or cancerous changes that other methods of detection have not detected. Thermography may be a great option for women who wish to avoid radiation or who are concerned about their breasts and want to examine all options for preventing and detecting breast cancer. Thermography is risk free and does not require a referral from a physician. Remember, until breast cancer can be prevented, early detection gives you the best chance!
