KATE A. DURDA is a Developmental Psychologist, Shamanic Practitioner, Reiki Master and spiritual teacher/consultant. She has had extensive training with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, Sandra Ingerman, and many other shamanic practitioners and indigenous shamans from around the world. She is an Esoteric Healing Practitioner (4a-International Network of Esoteric Healing Training -INEH), and a Reiki Master. She received her degree in Developmental Psychology, M.A. from Michigan State University, Lansing, and worked in the mental health field for many years. She currently offers healing services and provides training in shamanic practice throughout Michigan and Canada.

Kate is current board member of the Peace Education Center in East Lansing. She facilitates a community “Peace and Healing” task force to promote peace as well as to increase the availability of spiritual healing for survivors of all forms of trauma, including domestic assault, violence, and war.

Kate has presented lectures and workshops on Shamanism nationally and internationally, including at the International Conflict Resolution Conference-Jane Goodall Youth Conference on War and Ecology in St. Petersburg, Russia, in May, 2004, and the International Youth Peace Conference in Cleveland, Ohio in August, 2004, and the First North American Conference on Children and Spirituality, at the University of Western Georgia, Atlanta, in 2001. She has presented at numerous local and state-wide groups as well.
