For those of you who are meeting me here for the first time,

hello and welcome. My name is Barbara Brower. I have been in the holistic health services profession for over 26 years. Whenever invited to speak on my topic of Reflexology, I hear the same question over and over. “How do we find holistic practitioners?” The Holistic Book phone directory began as a result of over two decades of hearing this question, as well as my own referral list overflowing with business cards, notes,

names and phone numbers written on everything from index cards to envelopes to any scrap of paper I could find. Locating the phone number of one of my colleagues in the holistic arena was not always easy. I had either given away a last business card or couldn’t locate the number in my file. Then I resorted to typing out my list only to be asked if I knew of anyone in ‘their’ area.

People would also ask where classes were being offered on holistic topics. So we are now posting class listings as part of our services. In addition we also offer a list of classrooms available to rent for class presentations and other holistic events.

My goal for Michigan’s Holistic Practitioners and Businesses is to grow our very own comprehensive phone book. You may join at any time. We are printed twice annually as follows:
